THUGPro is a mod-extension to Tony Hawk’s Underground 2. The developers are Morten, Quazz, and Gone. The intention of this mod is to unify the community by adding levels and features from other THPS games to one central place. Significant AdditionsNollie Tricks
'Nollie tricks are in. A button (#1 on the keyboard) switches the player to nollie position. (There is an indicator that shows when you are in nollie in the upper right corner of the screen...it says nollie and has two little feet outlines in a nollie position)' You can also tap Down, Up, X to perform a Nollie.
A number of people voiced their opinions about the grinding system of the first game. When grinding, the only way to get out was to ollie. This time, when grinding lips, you can just lean back into the transition and roll out. Nice addition.
Big Drop!
Another cool addition to the game is the big drop warning. When falling from great heights, you'll get a 'big drop' warning message. 'If you don't press your ollie button on landing, you bail, and get a board breaking animation.' Images thanks to Sairuk. Much appreciated! |
The Secret Section
If you've played the PSX demo, you probably know of this little secret section (read the Demo FAQ if you don't know!). Well, in the PSX version it wasn't finished yet, which led to some cool glitches. In the PC demo, this section is complete and here's DJ's write-up!
'This time, knocking the pin out of the pole on the grass opens the secret area up, via a hole in the ground behind the fence. There are different texts given when dropping through the hole- I have gotten 'Hole In One!' by landing a number of tricks down, and 'Hrmmmm...' by rolling in, or bailing the trick.' In this case, 'Pretty Clever' is the message. (image thanks to Blueep) |
'There is a double stair set down to the secret area from there. A kinked handrail is in the middle, the left is a smooth ramp, the right is a staircase. There is a double set ledge on both sides all the way down. Behind you is a tunnel that, if entered, pops you out at the beginning of the level, with the text, 'A Hole!!!'/View.php?view=thps_codes.detail&id=9'
'At the bottom of the staircase is a giant circular room. In the middle is a dry fountain; The only BTT here that I have found is given by clearing the fountain- 'Water Up Le Backside'. To the left and to the right are symmetrical sloping ramps parallel to the wall, following around the circumference of the room, and meeting in the middle. Both sides start off with handrails on the outside of them, and where the rails end, there is a gap in the platform. (Wallrides and ollies over these gaps give no BTT's) On the other side of the gaps is a cement quarterpipe that starts on both sides low, and elevates to a tall middle, which is directly opposite to the entrance. (Basically, if you're confused- enter the room, go left up the ramp, which follows the wall, and ollie the gap, landing on top of the cement QP, ollie the gap on the other side, landing on the downward sloping ramp, and ride out, ending up right where you began.)'

The No Comply
| A new move that I'm glad to see is the No Comply. This move is performed by tapping Up, X. You can see in this image (which is courtesy of Blueep) Tony placing his right foot on the ground to do this trick. I don't know if you gain any height by doing so (like the Fastplant of the original) |
Glitches
Unlimited Wall Rides
This first glitch was made aware to me by Edwina Goldstone.
| 'In the PC demo Wall Ride is like a grind, the longer the ride the more points and when you jump off, you get 'Wallie'. In the beginning of the session, turn left about 90deg. you will see a wall ridable structure, wall ride it! but dont jump off it, just continue until you hit the ground......and you will notice that the points are still there! Now you can continue on youre session normally by grinding, then you will get something like Wall Ride + 50/50 + ... , or you can do more wall riding...' As you can see in the image (which is poor, I'm sorry!) |
| A variation of the above glitch, this was submitted by Gold&SilverPoke...thanks! After a Wall Ride, as you're coming down, hold the Ollie button down and skate in circles. The spin multiplier will continue counting. In this case, a 12,960º Ollie. Rock and roll! |
